When Judy Colan told us she had 20-year-old semen from Bob's sire, Robert, our interest was piqued. We asked other Weimaraner breeders (Chris Grisell, Jane Ghomprecht & Lou Schnegelberger) what they knew of Robert, and the reports were glowing. We then leased Bob's dam, "Tiva" for this breeding, and on the second attempt at artificial insemination, five male puppies were born (dubbed 'The Bobs').

Bob has been a wonderful addition to our home, with his incredible love of people, and a deep-rooted desire to please. He was awarded Best Dog in Central Futurity in 2008, and finished his Championship the next day under Mr. Everett Dean. Bob is a terrific swimmer and retriever, and he is in early training for his CD. With a boy this versatile and determined to please, it would be a shame not to pursue some goals.

As a sire, Bob is already producing some wonderful qualities in his puppies. His son, Silkwind's Boy Wonder, was Reserve Winners Dog at the 2010 WCA National from the 6-9 month class and was Winnders Dog to finish with his third major at the 2011 WCA Host Club show. Bob's daughter, Silkwind's Tangled Up in Gray was Best Bitch in Futurity at the 2011 Eastern (during National week) under judge Mr. Michael Shoreman.  Several of his other puppies are pointed, have JH legs, NSDs, TD and other titles!

Laverne goes through life with two speeds....On or off. She is a LOT outgoing when shes on.  She has never met a stranger and goes about life like the world is hers. 

Laverne has made quite an impression on the show world already. At just one year of age, she finished her Championship with four majors and a Group FIRST from the classes, over some of the country's top Sporting Dogs.  In just 3 weekends she earned her Grand Championship.  She has recently begun her specials career and has proved she can compete with the top dogs in the country.   She received an AOM at the 2011 WCA nationals as well as Best in Sweepstakes.  Thank you to all the judges who have rewarded her thus far.  The future looks bright!!

Splash does what Splash wants to do.  With a sister like Laverne she was happy taking the back seat to her.  We believed in her enough to let her mature prior to her entering the show ring.  In just 5 weekends of shows she finished her championship with 4 majors (2 4-pointers, a 3-point and a 5-point) and by going Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the 2011 WCA National Specialty.  She was also Best Bred by Exhibitor at the National, earning us our second Carole Donaldson Memorial trophy in four years!

Splash will be bred late summer 2011.  We are hopeful she will carry on the heritage of the great producing line she comes from.  Splash will be bred to Ch. Unity's Nuts and Bolts "Tonka".  Keep a lookout on the puppy page for all further updates.
